Left the resort early this morning after our breakfast... while going downhill back to the city... we stopped by a nice beach...
We all went down to coach for toilet break as well as photo taking..
This is the jie jie that is in our tour group... she came with her Daddy and Mummy and is one year older than me...
After that, we went to Jiufen (九份), its the most prosperous shopping district of Old Street. Along the street there are shops vending the most famous country snack of Jiufen (九份), yam dish and various local dishes. We were told to try the famous yam balls there... came by a shop for a rest and ordered both their hot and cold yam balls to try... quite nice indeed...
So, before meeting at the gathering point, we had lunch at a coffeeshop there... ordered some noodles and braised pork rice...
I think we really spent a bomb here.. as they are so many tibits and snacks to buy and everything seems extremely nice... at the last shop, Ah ma, Ah gu and Mummy bought a carton of pineapple tarts to bring back for friends, relatives and colleagues...
After leaving Jiufen (九份), we went to The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (国立中正纪念堂), a shop selling Taiwanese cakes, Pixiu (貔貅) Arts Center before going for tea break at Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe...
Our package had included a tea break at the cafe so we were being lead to be seated and food served shortly... there is a small sponge cake and a glass of juice... Due to the bad weather (expected typhoon), the tour guide suggested an alternative itinerary for us by not going to Shilin Night Market (士林夜市) but instead shopped around the vicinity..
Some pictures to share of Kloey... so mischievous and can make funny faces now..
