A day of Errands to run

A couple of errands to run today... Daddy cooked lunch for Kloey before we go out...

First, we went to Pioneer Mall for Macdonald's breakfast... then proceed to Bedok as Mummy wanted to collect some party items which she had ordered then to Bugis to recky for more party items for Kloey and my birthday party... currently, venue is booked and goodie bags are 50% done except for the food stuff...

Then, we went on to Sembawang to collect Kloey's milk powder which Mummy had ordered from a supplier... we bought the 400g tin as after calculation its cheaper than the 900g tin which we are buying...

After the collection, we went to Sembawang Shopping center... had our dinner at Kungfu Paradise... the food is not bad and we had a very full meal...

When I asked to sit on a kiddy ride, Mummy let Kloey sit beside me... its her first time sitting on a kiddy ride and she enjoyed it... trying to press on the buttons and turning the steering wheel..

Last but not least, we went for marketing at the Giant downstairs... Kloey sat happily on the trolley... this is also her first attempt...

Beautiful Sunday

A happy Sunday for me... in the morning, Daddy brought me to the pool for a swim while Mummy stayed home with Kloey...

In the afternoon, Daddy received a call for him to go back office as something crop up... I followed him along so that Kloey can catch some sleep while I am not around...

As Mummy is still tired from the Taiwan trip, we did not go back to Clementi to visit Yeye and Mama... instead, we walked over to Street 91 for KFC dinner and some grocery shopping at Prime...

Day 8 - Taipei

Its certainly a "full of experience day" for me.. for the past 7 days, other than taking taxi and coach, I had not taken other public transport in Taiwan... this morning, we left our hotel after breakfast and hop on a public bus to visit Longshan Temple (龍山寺)...

After a while, as nothing much in the vicinity... we left to our next destination... we took the MRT and head for Danshui (淡水) as Mummy wanted to take a look as recommended by her colleagues... but not everyone wanted to go so we spilt into 2 groups...

With us are Ah ma, Ah gu, Ann lao yi, Belinda lao yi, Grand Uncle Thomas, Dilys yiyi and Marcus Ah gu... we walked at the old street and tried Ah Gei (阿給). So what is Ah Gei? It's taufu with sauce, and you will find glass noodle (冬粉) inside the taufu. Its quite nice, worth trying...

After leaving Danshui (淡水), we took the train back to Xi Men Ding (西門町) to shop then return back to the hotel.. tonight, Grand Aunty Linda is giving us a treat as she strike 4D yesterday... so nice of her right? We just walked over to a Teochew restaurant near our hotel for dinner... after that, I follow Ah ma and Grand Uncle Thomas to hotel to rest while Mummy and the rest went to Ning Xia Night Market and Shilin Night Market...

Daddy brought Kloey to Clementi today as Sharon gugu forgot to pack medicine for Mama so Daddy went back to do it... Mama is so delighted to see Kloey...

Day 7 - Taipei

By right, today is the end of our package tour but we had extended for another 2 days in Taipei.. We checked out from hotel around noon and transfer to our new hotel nearer to the city...

After checking into the hotel, we went for a late lunch at a steamboat restaurant at Xi Men Ding (西門町) called 飞天嘛辣 recommended by Ah gu... We had a nice and "full-filling" lunch over there with Haagen Daz ice cream as dessert...

After our meal, we went over to Taipei 101 (台北101)... Mummy wanted to get 奶油酥饼which Ah gu had bought for her during his last trip...

After that, we shopped around the vicinity as we saw a newly opened shopping mall just across the street... for our dinner, we went back to Xi Men Ding (西門町) to eat 啊宗面线 as well as shop around the area... as Ah ma is tired so she did not go with us and choose to rest in the hotel...

Daddy let Kloey watched Barney DVD today and see her concentrating so hard... so cute right?

Day 6 - Yi Lan to Taipei

Left the resort early this morning after our breakfast... while going downhill back to the city... we stopped by a nice beach...

We all went down to coach for toilet break as well as photo taking..

This is the jie jie that is in our tour group... she came with her Daddy and Mummy and is one year older than me...

After that, we went to Jiufen (九份), its the most prosperous shopping district of Old Street. Along the street there are shops vending the most famous country snack of Jiufen (九份), yam dish and various local dishes. We were told to try the famous yam balls there... came by a shop for a rest and ordered both their hot and cold yam balls to try... quite nice indeed...

So, before meeting at the gathering point, we had lunch at a coffeeshop there... ordered some noodles and braised pork rice...

I think we really spent a bomb here.. as they are so many tibits and snacks to buy and everything seems extremely nice... at the last shop, Ah ma, Ah gu and Mummy bought a carton of pineapple tarts to bring back for friends, relatives and colleagues...

After leaving Jiufen (九份), we went to The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (国立中正纪念堂), a shop selling Taiwanese cakes, Pixiu (貔貅) Arts Center before going for tea break at Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe...

Our package had included a tea break at the cafe so we were being lead to be seated and food served shortly... there is a small sponge cake and a glass of juice... Due to the bad weather (expected typhoon), the tour guide suggested an alternative itinerary for us by not going to Shilin Night Market (士林夜市) but instead shopped around the vicinity..

Some pictures to share of Kloey... so mischievous and can make funny faces now..

Day 5 - Taichung to Yi Lan

All ready for the day after a good night sleep at the nice motel...

Today, we will be heading to Leo Foo Theme Park (六福村主題遊樂園),  the first recreational park that combines both zoo park and recreational park together in the Asia region.

It has six different cultural customs as the main attraction, Wild West, South Pacific, Arabian Kingdom, China Town, Fairy Tale Town and African Safari. With the six different main attractions.. we started off with African Safari...

All of us, including me tried on Sahara Twister... which is something like a roller coaster but the seats will twist and turn while moving...

A few other rides that I tried are Carousel, Rocking Steamboat and Bird Flight...

After that, the coach took us all the way to the resort that we will be staying for the night... its Pei Kuan Resort (北關休閒農場)... there is a crab museum there where we have a tour guide to bring us around and museum and introduced to us the different crab species...

We had dinner at the restaurant within the resort and it started to rain thereafter... Initially, we were disappointed as we are supposed to release 天灯but luckily the resort assistant so the weather is still fine but we need to finish everything quickly before the weather worsen...

We were being spilt up into 2 groups and given markers to write down our wishes on the 天灯.. there are a total of 4 sides that need to be written...

Finally, we had written on all 4 sides of the 天灯 and now it is ready to be put onto the frame and stick properly...

Then, we went to the open space and release the 天灯 into the air... its started to float up after we lit it and we waited for it to fly high into the air and disappeared in the clouds...

Our next activity at the resort is to make our own Muah Chee... everyone took turn and have a chance to "punch" the glutinous rice and make it into Muah Chee...

After it is done, we used chopstick to take the Muah Chee and dip it in peanut... Nice and yummy... its soft and chewy.. unless the ones in Singapore which are oily...

So what is my little sister doing in Singapore?
Daddy went to work as usual and left Kloey in the care of Pak pak and Pak Leong... they brought her to Orchard with Chee Leong gor gor in the afternoon and came back in the evening where Yeye cooked fish porridge for Kloey's dinner... Daddy fetched her back after work and from tomorrow onwards, he would need to take care of Kloey single handedly until we are back in Singapore...
